INTRODUCTION

Telisoft-40 is used to treat hypertension, heart failure, and prevent heart attack and stroke. An angiotensin receptor blocker, it blocks the action of certain natural substances that tighten the blood vessels, causing them to relax and lowering blood pressure.

HOW IT WORKS

Telmisartan belongs to a group of medicines called Angiotensin Receptor Blockers (ARB). It blocks certain chemical substances from tightening the blood vessels, which relaxes the blood vessels and lowers blood pressure. High blood pressure causes damage to various organs and can result in heart disease, heart attacks, stroke etc. Telmisartan reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases, by reducing the stress on the heart and allowing it to function more efficiently.

SIDE EFFECTS
