INTRODUCTION

Telisoft-AM is used to treat hypertension, heart failure, and prevent heart attack and stroke. An angiotensin receptor blocker, it blocks the action of certain natural substances that tighten the blood vessels, causing them to relax and lowering blood pressure.

Amlodipine normalizes blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels and also improves the flow of oxygen in the body which helps prevent any heart-related chest pain.

COMPOSITION

Each 5ml contains Telmisartan 40mg and Amlodipine 5mg.

HOW IT WORKS

Telmisartan belongs to a group of medicines called Angiotensin Receptor Blockers (ARB). It blocks certain chemical substances from tightening the blood vessels, which relaxes the blood vessels and lowers blood pressure. High blood pressure causes damage to various organs and can result in heart disease, heart attacks, stroke etc. Telmisartan reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases, by reducing the stress on the heart and allowing it to function more efficiently.

Amlodipine belongs to a group of medicines called Calcium channel blockers. It normalizes the blood pressure by relaxing the blood vessels.

SIDE EFFECTS

Most of the side effects of TELISOFT-AM do not require any medical intervention. However, consult your doctor in case the symptoms of side-effects persist. Some common side effects of TELISOFT-AM are:
